T1.8 and soft bokeh

The T1.8 aperture separates your subject from the background with a shallow depth of field and soft bokeh. The aperture runs from T1.8 to T22, clicked or declicked.

Autofocus for video and photo

The STM stepping motor focuses quickly, precisely and smoothly for moving shots and portraits alike. Weighing roughly 600–700 g, the lenses in the series suit handheld work, gimbals, tripods and drones.

Blue flare

Classic blue flares underline the anamorphic character of the image and give your shots a cinematic mood. The series is also available with neutral flare.

1.33x squeeze, 2.4:1 image

Most mirrorless cameras shoot in 16:9. The 1.33x squeeze turns that footage, once desqueezed, into the classic 2.4:1 widescreen format with no cropping and no pixel loss, across the full-frame sensor.

AF/MF and FN

One-switch change between autofocus and manual focus, plus a customisable FN button.

Iris lock

Locks the aperture at A (auto) or within the manual range to prevent accidental changes.

ft/m scale

Dual distance scale in feet and metres, compatible with LiDAR follow focus.

Triple protection

Resistant to dust, dirt and raindrops.

WE RECOMMEND

For Sirui Astra lenses we recommend:

67 mm filters – Astra lenses have a 67 mm filter thread, so UV, polarising, mist and variable ND filters screw straight on.

Lens cleaning – keep the front element and filters clean and streak-free.
