Sennheiser MZQ 02 Beige

The Sennheiser MZQ 02 in beige is a clip for MKE 2 lavalier microphones. The beige version exists for the same reason beige lavaliers do: against a light shirt, skin tone or a pale costume it stays inconspicuous where black would read as a dark mark. In theatre and television the colour of the clip is therefore chosen to match the clothing, not the microphone. Otherwise it is the same part as the black version — it holds the microphone on a lapel, a placket or the edge of a pocket and keeps it at the angle you set.

Against a white shirt or a pale costume a black clip is a dark mark the camera will find. Beige disappears — which is why in theatre and television the colour is chosen to match the clothing, not the microphone.

Otherwise the same part as the black one

It holds an MKE 2 on a lapel, a placket or the edge of a pocket and keeps it at the angle you set. On a lavalier that matters: a few degrees off to the side costs noticeable level.
