The Sennheiser CHG 70N is a network-enabled charger with two bays, capable of simultaneously charging up to two EW-DX SKM handheld and/or EW-DX SK bodypack transmitters with their respective BA 70 batteries inside. It can also recharge standalone BA 70 batteries, and features an RJ-45 network socket that supports the Media Control Protocol to provide remote control and status monitoring using the Sennheiser Control Cockpit software. it CHG 70N operates on Power over Ethernet (PoE IEEE 802.3af Class 0) or on 12 VDC input voltage supplied from the EW-D power supply (available separately).
Network-enabled charger for EW-DX
The CHG 70N charges two EW-DX transmitters at once — SKM handheld and SK bodypack alike — with their BA 70 batteries still inside. Standalone BA 70 batteries go into the same bays, so there is no question of whether you are charging the device or the battery.
The RJ-45 socket supports the Media Control Protocol, so the charger reports its status to Sennheiser Control Cockpit and other compatible applications. Power comes either straight down the network cable (PoE to IEEE 802.3af Class 0) or from a 12 V supply, which for this model is bought separately.
