Saramonic Air SE-01 USB-C

The Saramonic Air SE-01 is a wireless microphone system with two 5-gram transmitters and a USB-C receiver. A dedicated AI chip removes up to 40 dB of background noise, and the charging case turns the mic into a handheld interview mic. The receiver draws power from the connected device, and with the charging case the kit records for up to 28 hours.

Five grams, the size of a thumb

The transmitter measures 28.5 × 17 × 13.4 mm and weighs 5 g. Clipped to a lapel or a shirt it stays practically invisible on camera, so the shot stays clean. It attaches by magnet or by clip — two of each are in the box.

Clip it on, or hold it

Dock the transmitter in the lighter-sized charging case and it becomes a handheld interview mic. The case magnetically holds two transmitters and a receiver, so the whole kit fits in a pocket.

Plug in and shoot

The USB-C receiver plugs straight into a phone, tablet or computer. It draws power from the connected device, so it has no battery of its own and never needs charging, and the audio goes in directly — no pairing, no extra cables. For iPhones with a Lightning connector there is the SE-02 version.

A clear voice even in noise

Saramonic’s first in-house AI chip removes up to 40 dB of background noise. Unlike conventional ENC, which only handles steady ambience, an algorithm trained on 700,000 samples separates the voice from sudden noise too — passing traffic, keyboard clatter, a barking dog. The level is switched right on the receiver in two steps.

Up to 28 hours of recording

The transmitter runs about 6 hours on a charge. The charging case can top it up while you record, so total runtime for the kit reaches up to 28 hours. A full charge takes roughly 1.5 hours.

Studio resolution

48 kHz / 24-bit recording, a signal-to-noise ratio above 80 dB and a maximum sound pressure level above 120 dB. From a whisper to a shout the detail survives and the noise floor stays very low.

Insurance against clipping

The built-in limiter steps in on a sudden loud passage. On top of that you can enable a −12 dB safety track that runs the whole time as a backup in case the main track clips.

Three EQ presets

Vocal Boost, High Boost and Bass Boost shape the voice without post-production. Add a low-cut filter at 75 Hz or 150 Hz against rumble and low-end noise.

App control

The Saramonic app switches the EQ, mono and stereo output, mute and output gain. Playback through the phone speaker works without unplugging the receiver.

A handheld mic for street interviews

Docked on the charging case and switched on, the transmitter works as a handheld mic straight away. The case offers a steady, comfortable grip, interviews feel more natural and the interviewee speaks right into the mic. The transmitter keeps charging in the meantime, so even a long vox pop won’t lose its sound to a flat battery.

Phone, computer and your favourite apps

Air SE records into the phone’s native camera and voice recorder and works with TikTok, YouTube, Zoom, Facebook, WhatsApp and Snapchat, as well as with Windows and macOS computers. With some phone and app combinations, recording is mono only, from one transmitter only, or the app stays with the phone’s built-in mic.

On a lapel, a cap or an action camera

The transmitter attaches with a magnet or a magnetic clip — two of each are in the box, as are two furry windshields. The USB-C receiver also works with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 3, 4, 5 Pro and 6, Osmo 360 and the Insta360 X4 Air, X5, Ace Pro 2 and GO Ultra action cameras. It does not work with the Osmo Pocket 1 and 2, Osmo Nano, Insta360 X2 to X4, Ace Pro, GO to GO 3S, the ONE series or GoPro HERO 12 and 13.
