Tilta Rod Adapter for Mini V-Mount Battery Plate

The Rod Adapter for Mini V-Mount Battery Plate clamps the Mini or Pocket V-Mount battery plate onto 15mm LWS rods. It grips at two points so the plate cannot twist under the battery, and it allows horizontal, vertical or flat mounting — depending on how the rest of the rig runs and where the battery needs to balance it.

A battery plate has to be attached somewhere, and the most natural place is the rods that already run back from the baseplate. This adapter puts the Mini or Pocket V-Mount plate on the rods and holds it at two points, so it cannot twist under the weight of the battery.

Two clamping points on 15mm LWS rods

The adapter wraps around two 15mm LWS rods and clamps to each with its own screw. Two contact points mean the plate with the battery will not twist even when the rig swings or knocks into something.

Horizontal, vertical or flat

The battery plate can go onto the adapter in three attitudes: horizontal, vertical or flat along the rods. That moves the battery out of the way of the monitor arm, or the other way, back along the rods to balance a heavy lens.

For the Mini and Pocket V-Mount plates

The adapter is made for the Tilta Mini V-Mount and Pocket V-Mount plates. It fits any 15mm LWS system — Tilta baseplates as well as rods from other makers, because the standard is shared.

Aluminum with steel parts

The body is aluminum alloy with steel clamping parts. That combination keeps the threads intact after repeated disassembly, which on a part fitted and removed every shooting day matters more than a few grams saved.
