RGBlink MSP 204

The RGBlink MSP 204 is a compact and reliable HDMI to SDI video converter designed for professional AV and broadcast workflows, converting HDMI signals to SDI with embedded analog audio support across a wide range of SD and HD resolutions. It detects the input format automatically; the audio source is chosen with the DIP switch or from a computer over USB.

The MSP 204 converter brings the picture from an HDMI computer or camera into an SDI broadcast chain and embeds audio from a microphone or mixing desk.

Connectors

The signal enters through the HDMI IN connector and leaves through the SDI OUT output (3G/HD/SD-SDI) on BNC. Two jacks accept the left and right analog channels, the left one optionally digital AES/EBU – this audio is embedded into SDI independently of the HDMI audio. 12 V power connects to the POWER socket.

DIP switch and USB

The converter detects the input format automatically. Audio source and other options are set with the DIP switch on the underside or from a computer over USB.

A computer on the HDMI input, a microphone on the audio inputs, the SDI output to an RGBlink RMS 8424 rack monitor and a laptop on USB for control.
