D-sub 9-pin male cable-mount connector (Canon 9M)

A cable-mount nine-pin D-sub connector, male (DB9M). It terminates an RS-232 serial link or another nine-core run. Dimensions 33 × 15 mm.

Cable-mount D-sub 9-pin connector, male (DB9M). Czech trade calls this part a "Canon 9"; the name comes from the Cannon connector family and has nothing to do with the camera brand.

It is used to terminate RS-232 serial links and other nine-core connections where the connector is fitted directly onto the cable. The plastic connector hood is not included and is bought separately.
