State-of-the-art sensors
The AW-UB50 model is equipped with a full-frame MOS sensor, while the AW-UB10 variant features an MFT (Micro 4/3) size MOS sensor; both support all common IP protocols, such as the Panasonic AW control protocol and RTP, RTSP, and (via future updates) RTMPS, SRT, and NDI HX2 protocols. The AW-UB50 model has been optimized for film production and features a shallower depth of field than the AW-UB10 model. Both the AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 cameras utilize autofocus technology with real-time subject recognition, which enables automatic identification and tracking of subjects. Both cameras are also equipped with Dual Native ISO and V-Log features to provide video production teams with the flexibility needed to create a camera ecosystem optimized for the requirements of individual productions.

Versatility and Flexibility
The AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 cameras simplify operations in professional broadcast environments and are ideal for shooting, recording, and distributing video content at large-scale live events. These versatile 4K cameras support rich and versatile image capture, and their on-site operation is incredibly easy, enabling more creative video production. Installation flexibility is a top priority in the design. Both models feature a compact chassis with a height, width, and depth of less than 10 cm, allowing for installation even in the tightest spaces. They can also be used for handheld shooting with a gimbal. Both the AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 cameras offer 3G-SDI output, an HDMI Type A interface, a LAN port, time code input/output, a Genlock input, and a USB-C interface. The LAN port is compatible with PoE (Power over Ethernet), so video transmission, control, and power are all handled by a single cable—further simplifying their use for live production.

Easy Control
When connected to remote camera systems on the same network, the AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 models are fully compatible with the Panasonic AK-HRP1010 remote control panel, and support for the AW-RP150G camera remote control and Panasonic production consoles is planned for the future. The cameras can also be used to control tally signals. By installing a color profile compatible with the integrated Panasonic AW-UE160 4K camera, colors can be easily matched in mixed operations with remote cameras. The future-ready design of the AW-UB50 and AW-UB10 cameras allows Panasonic to implement future support for IP-based transmission standards, such as NDI HX2. This supports increasingly flexible video production methods, such as video distribution via streaming services and the construction of IP-based systems.
