DZOFilm Octopus Canon EF to Canon RF Adapter

The DZOFILM Octopus Adapter Canon EF → Canon RF is a mechanical adapter for mounting Canon EF lenses on Canon RF cameras. The Active Lock holds the lens with no play, the flange machined to ±0.01mm reaches infinity focus without calibration, and a detachable 1/4″-20 support foot takes load off the camera mount. The adapter has no electronic contacts.

Active Lock – no play, no wobble

The Active Lock pulls the lens tight against the adapter so there is no play or gap between lens and camera. The image does not shake when pulling focus or working in a rig, and the lens cannot work loose – essential for cine glass with a follow focus.

Stainless mount and internal flocking

The stainless-steel mount stands up to frequent lens changes. The inner walls are lined with light-absorbing flocking that reduces reflections, stray light and ghosting, so the image keeps its contrast.

Precise flange, infinity without calibration

The flange distance is machined to a ±0.01mm tolerance, so the lens reliably reaches infinity focus without shims or adjustment. The detachable 1/4″-20 support foot transfers part of the lens weight to the rig.

All-metal construction

The metal body keeps its shape through long, demanding shoots with frequent lens changes, without adding unnecessary weight.

No electronics – for lenses with an iris ring

The adapter is purely mechanical, with no optics and no electronic contacts. Camera and lens do not communicate, so autofocus and electronic aperture control do not work. It is therefore meant for EF cine lenses with manual iris and focus rings; on EF photo lenses without an iris ring the aperture stays wide open.
