NT55

The NT 55 is a compact condenser microphone with a replaceable microphone capsule.

Similar to the RODE NT5, the RODE NT55 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone often referred to as a "pencil mic." The NT55 features a 1/2" (slide-on) condenser microphone capsule also used in the RODE NT5 with a cardioid polar pattern. An omnidirectional pattern can be achieved by simply replacing the cartridge with the NT45-O, which is included in the package.

The NT55 offers low noise, wide dynamic range, a three-position input sensitivity switch (0, -10, or -20 dB), and a three-position frequency filter that allows you to set 75 or 150 Hz.

Although it is an instrument microphone, the NT55 is very good for situations where a small, unobtrusive but effective microphone is required to meet the demands of demanding recording systems.

The NT55 is designed for use in television, film, live broadcasting, theater, or for creating any recording in any environment.

The NT55 package includes two directionally different condenser microphone cartridges (NT45-C and NT45-O) that provide a wide range of recordings. A variety of accessories are available for the NT55 microphone to facilitate placement and connection to recording equipment.
