The Neumann KH 120 II W is a next-generation compact nearfield studio monitor engineered for maximum accuracy, neutrality, and reliability in professional audio environments. As part of Neumann’s KH series, it continues the philosophy of delivering completely uncolored sound reproduction with extremely low distortion and outstanding stereo imaging precision.

Equipped with a 5.25-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter in a front-ported bass reflex enclosure, the KH 120 II W delivers a frequency response from 44 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB), providing impressive low-end extension for its size while maintaining detailed and transparent midrange and high-frequency reproduction. The Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide ensures controlled directivity and stable imaging across a wide listening area.

At the core of the system is a powerful DSP engine that enables linear phase response (120 Hz – 16 kHz, ±45°) with extremely low latency (<2.6 ms). This advanced processing allows for precise crossover management, system optimization, and full integration with Neumann’s MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system for room-adaptive calibration and acoustic correction.

The KH 120 II W delivers high output capability up to 116.8 dB SPL while maintaining exceptionally low distortion, thanks to its bi-amplified design with 145 W for the woofer and 100 W for the tweeter. Tight manufacturing tolerances of ±0.5 dB ensure consistent performance and razor-sharp stereo imaging, making it ideal for critical monitoring tasks.

Connectivity includes a balanced XLR analog input and S/PDIF digital input via RCA. The AES67 version adds full network audio integration for advanced studio infrastructures, including immersive and IP-based workflows. With support for stereo, surround, and immersive configurations, the KH 120 II W integrates seamlessly with other Neumann KH-series monitors and subwoofers.
