Unlike digital zoom, which simply crops the image and reduces its quality, the 240 mm lens uses film-quality optical glass. As a result, it maintains high sharpness even when shooting from a great distance and creates the natural perspective compression typical of long telephoto lenses—distant layers of the image are optically brought closer together, the subject stands out distinctly from the background, and the entire shot takes on a dramatic, cinematic look.
