Moment Anamorphic 1.55x Mobile Lens II – PanaBlue – T-Series is a mobile anamorphic lens with a 1.55× squeeze, T-Series bayonet, and PanaBlue optical flare character. It captures a genuinely wider image with oval bokeh and horizontal flare—without software simulation.

The 1.55× squeeze turns 16:9 capture into a dramatic 2.76:1 frame. The PanaBlue version produces soft blue horizontal streaks with stronger oval bokeh.

A larger optical design with two additional glass elements per group improves edge-to-edge clarity. The metal body and multicoated glass create a real optical character rather than a simulated software effect.

The T-Series bayonet locks into a compatible Moment case or mount. Rotate the lens for horizontal or vertical framing, then monitor a desqueezed image in Moment Pro Camera or Blackmagic Camera.

PanaBlue is especially suited to science fiction, action, and genre storytelling. The look comes from the optical coating itself: bright sources stretch into horizontal streaks and out-of-focus highlights take on the signature oval shape.
Anamorphic lenses don’t just capture light; they also reveal how light behaves when it cannot be fully controlled.
Light veils, streaks, and reflections were never part of the original plan. They were a byproduct of physics, chemistry, and imperfect materials. Over time, these imperfections became a language—a way for cinematographers to express emotion, scale, and intent.
Moment’s anamorphic lenses honor this tradition. They do not simulate history. They recreate it—intentionally, optically, and faithfully—offering three distinct philosophies of flare, shaped by the science of coatings and decades of filmmaking.
Inspired by the earliest coated anamorphic film lenses, Blue recreates the most iconic “imperfection” in film history. Single-layer anti-reflective coatings on mid-20th-century optics struggled to suppress blue wavelengths, and when combined with front anamorphic elements, these reflections stretched into the legendary horizontal blue band.
Ideal for: Epic scale, genre storytelling, sci-fi, action films
Reflection Character: Subtleblue horizontal streaks with controlled intensity
Philosophy: To celebratethe imperfection that defined the cinematic spectacle
For Moment Anamorphic II lenses, we recommend the 67mm Moment 130-128 filter holder, which allows you to use ND, CPL, and creative filters, and the Moment Mobile Lens Cleaning Kit for safe lens maintenance.
