The Metabones Nikon G to BMCC Speed Booster 0.64x transforms full-frame Nikon G and F-mount lenses into high-speed, wide-angle lenses for the Blackmagic 2.5K Cinema Camera, reducing crop factor, increasing maximum aperture, and enhancing image sharpness for cinematic results.

The Metabones Nikon G to BMCC Speed Booster 0.64x is engineered for cinematographers who want to maximize the performance of Nikon lenses on the Blackmagic 2.5K Cinema Camera (BMCC) with a Micro-4/3 mount. This advanced adapter reduces the BMCC’s full-frame crop factor from 2.39x to 1.53x, effectively turning it into a Super-35 format camera. It increases the speed of any attached lens by 1⅓ stops, delivering a maximum output aperture of f/0.8—so a 50mm f/1.2 lens becomes a 32mm f/0.8 equivalent.
Precision optics designed by Caldwell Photographic (patent pending) enhance MTF, corner sharpness, and minimize vignetting. The click-less manual G aperture ring covers an 8-stop range, clearly indicating the actual number of f-stops, eliminating guesswork. Built from brass and aluminum alloy with satin matte finish, the adapter is robust, precise, and includes a detachable tripod foot compatible with Arca Swiss, Markins, and Photo Clam ball heads.
Please note: This adapter uses manual aperture control only; electronic aperture is not supported. Certain lenses, including Nikkor 2.1cm f/4, AI-S 20mm f/2.8, and Nikkor E-series lenses, are incompatible.
