An integrated aperture-control ring with 8 stops in half-stop increments compensates for Nikon G-type lenses lacking a built-in aperture ring, giving photographers full manual aperture control. Lenses with built-in aperture rings, such as Nikon AI or many post-AI lenses, can still use their original controls if preferred.

To reduce glare and unwanted reflections, the adapter’s interior is coated matte black, enhancing contrast and image quality. Note that this adapter does not support electronic communication between lens and camera, so autofocus and electronic aperture control are not available.
