The Cartoni Master MK2 is a compact, versatile fluid head with a flat Mitchell base for cameras from 3 to 35 kg. A competitively priced, ultra-dependable support for studio and OB work, it offers perfect counterbalance at any angle of its ±90° tilt and a consistent, seamless fluid drag, both using Cartoni patented technology. The head weighs 8.5 kg. Five-year warranty after registration.
The Master MK2 delivers outstanding performance in any shooting situation. All control knobs and levers are conveniently placed and easy to reach, with special attention to user-friendly ergonomics.

Cartoni’s Planetary fluid drag works from almost freewheeling to a consistent maximum drag and delivers super-precise starts and stops. The patented counterbalance keeps the camera in balance at any tilt angle.
The large quick-release sliding plate loads from the side, so even a heavy camera is balanced quickly and safely.
Drag and counterbalance settings are shown on digital readouts, and the spirit level is illuminated.
Brake levers and operating knobs are within easy reach, and a horizontal lock secures the platform during camera changes.
The head mounts on flat-base tripods and pedestals; an optional adapter is available for 150 mm bowls.

The drag and counterbalance knobs and brake levers are laid out so the operator finds them without looking and works them with one hand.

Digital displays show the pan, tilt and balance values, so you can repeat a setting exactly even in low light.
The chart shows how much camera weight the head’s counterbalance can balance depending on how high above the plate the centre of gravity of the rig sits. The higher the centre of gravity, the lower the payload the head can hold in balance.
The 3 to 35 kg range covers everything from the smallest HDV cameras to fully loaded RED, Alexa, F65 or C300 cameras with all accessories. The counterbalance is an evolution of Cartoni’s patented Wing system. A EuroStyle plate is optional, and a second pan bar can be ordered separately.
