A STURDY BASE FOR THE BACKGROUND ROLL

The 059WM model consists of two sturdy hooks made of black-painted steel. Each is mounted directly to the wall, and together they support one pair of Expan 046 drive end caps. The curved front helps keep the shaft in place during use but allows it to be lifted off the hooks when changing the roll.

This is a practical solution for studios where a single backdrop is used frequently and it is not desirable to build a separate support structure each time. The fixed position also facilitates consistent scene setup.

Both kits feature a single Expan 046. The 059WM variant screws directly into the wall, while the Manfrotto 059 uses 16mm hex pins and is mounted in a pair of Super Clamp 035 clamps. The choice therefore depends on whether you need a fixed installation or an easily relocatable setup.
