The Manfrotto 522SCA is a replacement coiled control cable for Manfrotto 521, 522, and 523 series remote controls. It features a 2.5mm male angled jack on both ends, measures 25 cm when not in use, and can be safely extended up to 140 cm during operation. The coiled design keeps excess length near the remote control while allowing for freedom of movement of the camcorder on the tripod head. The black cable weighs only 31 g, is designed to transmit LANC/Panasonic remote control commands, and serves as a direct replacement for the standard cable supplied with supported units.

This compact coiled cable connects a supported Manfrotto remote control to a LANC/Panasonic interface using two angled 2.5mm jack connectors.
When coiled, it does not interfere with the tripod head; however, it extends from 25 to 140 cm when panning or operating the remote.
The manufacturer lists the 522SCA as the standard replacement cable for Manfrotto remote controls in the 521, 522, and 523 series, including their respective versions.
The coiled design minimizes slack in the cable. The nominal length when not in use is 25 cm, and the maximum working length is 140 cm.
Two male-to-male angled connectors and a weight of 31 g make for a simple replacement for the original standard connection cable.
