Manfrotto Photo Variable Friction Arm

Manfrotto 244N is a professional 53 cm variable-friction arm for precise positioning of a camera, light or other accessory weighing up to 3 kg. Its large central knob adjusts friction and locks all three joints at once; the upper 16 mm stud has a 3/8″ female thread and the lower 16 mm stud a 1/4″ female thread. This full-size 244N is Super Clamp compatible and is supplied on its own, without a camera bracket or the interchangeable Mini/Micro-series adapters.

The large ergonomic knob provides continuous friction adjustment and locks all three joints with one turn. Position the arm precisely first, then secure the chosen angle reliably.

Standard ends for studio equipment

The upper 16 mm stud contains a 3/8″ female thread and the lower 16 mm stud a 1/4″ female thread. The construction is Super Clamp compatible and accepts suitable brackets and studio accessories.

The 244N is supplied without a camera bracket. It is not the shorter 244MINI or 244MICRO, nor an ARRI-adapter version.

Aluminium and stainless steel keep the arm itself to 1.09 kg while supporting equipment up to 3 kg. Precise friction control helps when repeatedly positioning a light, camera or another compatible item.
