A larger ball holds the camera more firmly: the head with a 25 mm ball carries 18 lb (8.2 kg) and weighs 205 g itself. The tilt range is +90° to −55°.
The base with a scale rotates 360° with its own lock, so you can shoot panoramas in equal steps without shifting the horizon.
There is a 3/8" thread underneath and the included adapter lets you use a 1/4" screw as well, so the head fits a tripod, monopod or slider. On top there is a 1/4" screw for the camera.
