K&F Concept FD-NEX – Canon FD Lens to Sony E Mount Adapter

The K&F Concept FD-NEX adapter lets you mount Canon FD/FL-mount lenses on Sony E-mount cameras. It has no electronic contacts: you focus manually, set the aperture on the lens, and the lens focuses all the way to infinity. The body made of brass and aluminium holds the lens firmly, and a red dot makes mounting and removal easy.

Canon FD lenses on Sony E cameras

With the FD-NEX adapter you can attach Canon FD/FL-mount lenses to Sony E-mount cameras and keep using them on a modern body. The adapter is precision-made, so the lens sits firmly and focuses all the way to infinity.

Solid metal construction

The adapter body is made of brass and aluminium; it is durable and fits the lens and camera precisely, so the lens is held without play. A red dot makes mounting and removal easy.

Manual focus and aperture

You focus with the ring on the lens while the camera works in aperture priority or manual mode. The aperture is set with the aperture ring on the lens.

Camera settings

Before first use, enable the option in the camera menu that allows the shutter to be released without a lens attached (Release w/o Lens). The camera does not recognise an adapter without contacts and would not release the shutter without this setting.

Good to know

The adapter is designed for Canon FD and FL lenses only. Canon EF lenses have a different mount and do not fit. With telephoto and super-telephoto lenses the infinity position may shift slightly, so always check focus at infinity in the viewfinder or on the screen. The adapter is not compatible with Sony α7S, α7 II, α7S II and α7R II cameras.

The adapter is designed for Sony E-mount cameras, for example Sony NEX-3, NEX-5, NEX-6, NEX-7, α3000, α5000, α6000, α7, α7R, NEX-VG10, NEX-VG20.
