Insta360 X6 All-Weather USB Cover

The Insta360 X6 All-Weather USB Charging Cover replaces the standard USB cover and lets you charge the camera even in the rain. With a USB-C cable plugged in it keeps IPX4 splash resistance, so you can power the camera from a power bank while you shoot. When the cable is not in use, an integrated silicone plug seals the port. It is compatible with the X6 Utility Frame.

The cover also lets you connect the Insta360 Quick Reader 512GB Portable SSD directly, so you can offload files from the camera in bad weather. It weighs 1.6 g and measures 23.6 × 20.2 × 12 mm.

Splash resistant, not waterproof

IPX4 means protection against splashing water. Do not submerge the camera with the cover and avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain.

USB-C cable limits

For a reliable seal: metal part of the plug at least 6.5 mm, plug housing at most 12 × 7 mm.

Works with the Utility Frame

The cover is compatible with the X6 Utility Frame for maximum outdoor protection.

Swapping the cover

Remove the standard USB cover and keep it somewhere safe. Insert the All-Weather cover into the guide, fold it against the camera body and press it on. When finished, remove it and refit the standard cover.

Which USB-C cable to use

The metal part of the USB-C plug must be at least 6.5 mm long and the plug housing no more than 12 mm wide and 7 mm thick. Otherwise the cover will not close and the connection will not be stable.
