Datavideo DAC-8P 4K 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 Converter

The Datavideo DAC-8P converts professional 12G-SDI signals to HDMI 2.0, connecting an HDMI monitor or display to SDI production equipment. It supports DCI 4K up to 4096 × 2160p and UHD 4K up to 3840 × 2160p at 50, 59.94 and 60 frames per second. The output resolution automatically follows the input signal, so no computer configuration is required.

Alongside the 12G-SDI input, a loop-through SDI output lets the signal continue along the chain, while HDMI 2.0 carries embedded audio. Built-in SDI reclocking and equalization help restore signal timing and compensate for cable losses. Audio embedded in SDI can be carried over HDMI or de-embedded to the analogue stereo RCA outputs. Its compact metal housing suits both permanent installations and mobile production systems.

SDI loop-through

One 12G-SDI input and one loop-through output let you connect an HDMI monitor without interrupting the downstream SDI signal path. SDI reclocking, equalization and cable-drive support help maintain a stable signal.

Audio over HDMI and RCA

Audio embedded in the SDI input can be carried through the HDMI output. Two RCA outputs also provide unbalanced stereo L/R audio for a monitor or other analogue equipment.

Automatic output matching

The output automatically matches the resolution of the incoming HD, 3G or 12G-SDI signal. This allows the converter to join a production chain without parameter setup from a computer.

4K formats up to 60p

Supported inputs include DCI 4K and UHD 4K at 50/59.94/60p, along with common 1080p, 1080i and 720p formats. The compact metal housing suits both permanent installation and mobile production systems.
