The cinematographic zoom lens is designed to maintain focus during smooth zooming in or out. The Catta series reproduces accurate colors and offers a smooth transition between focus and blur. It features a wide aperture of T2.9 to T22, a 16-blade aperture for smooth bokeh, and a long focus range of 29.9".

In keeping with its film design, it has a 240° focus rotation range, 100° zoom rotation range, and 80° aperture rotation range. The lens is equipped with a Sony E-mount and can be easily exchanged for optional RF, L, X, and Z mounts. The lens comes with a range of accessories, including front and rear lens caps, a set of spacers, a support base, a support rod, and a filter holder.
