Cartoni Magnum Fluid Head

The Cartoni Magnum is the flagship of the Cartoni range of camera supports, with a payload of up to 130 kg. It is built for fully decked studio and outside broadcast cameras with long boxed lenses, viewfinder or a large teleprompter. Cameras of 30 to 130 kg with a high centre of gravity are balanced across the full ±65° tilt. Flat Mitchell base. Five-year warranty after registration.

The Magnum combines a patented counterbalance with Cartoni’s frictionless planetary fluid modules, which perform from freewheeling to maximum drag over an extended temperature range.

One-hand operation

The continuously variable drag knobs sit on each side of the head and are linked to digital readouts for pan, tilt and balance. Both brakes are on the right side of the control panel.

Teleprompter mounting

Two threaded holes for teleprompter tubes are located at the front of the sliding platform.

Tripods and pedestals

The Magnum interfaces directly with any Mitchell flat tripod and all pedestals with the 4-hole system.

Ergonomic controls

Brake levers and operating knobs are within easy reach, and a horizontal lock secures the platform during camera changes.

Dovetail plate separately

The quick-release dovetail plate with sliding operating knob and a second pan bar are ordered separately.
