Blackmagic Design Universal Videohub 72 Crosspoint

Universal Videohub 72 Crosspoint is the control card for routing up to 72 × 72 SDI paths and the related deck control. It is designed for Universal Videohub 72 frames and can also be used in Universal Videohub 288 for a smaller configuration. It carries Ethernet and RS-422 for router control, a reference input for genlock and status lights.

The heart of a 72 × 72 router

The crosspoint card switches video and deck control for all interface cards in the frame and adds router control via Ethernet and RS-422.

Without a crosspoint card the router cannot route

The Universal Videohub frame and interface cards need a crosspoint card, which connects inputs to outputs and talks to the control software and panels.

72 frame

A Universal Videohub 72 frame takes one 72 × 72 crosspoint card.

288 frame

In the 288 frame it is an affordable solution for configurations up to 72 × 72.

Monitoring

Alarm, Power Overload and Ref In lights show the router status.

Control

Ethernet for software and panels, RS-422 for third party systems.

Network and serial control

The Ethernet port connects the router to the network, where it is controlled by Videohub software and hardware panels. The RS-422 connector accepts switching commands from third party systems, and USB 2.0 is used for diagnostics and IP settings.

Card front panel

Handles for pulling out the card sit on both sides, with status lights, the reference input, the RS-422 router control connector, USB 2.0 and Ethernet between them.
