Atomos Shogun Classic

The Atomos Shogun Classic is a 7.2-inch HDR monitor, recorder, and compact switcher designed for film sets, live events, and broadcast. Its 3,000-nit, 10-bit IPS display with dynamic zone backlighting and a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 px remains readable even in daylight and offers an accurate HDR/SDR preview. In addition to HDMI 2.0, it features four HD-SDI inputs, two 12G-SDI outputs, and HDMI/SDI conversion.

On the touchscreen, you can switch between four cameras without genlock, record up to four 1080p60 ISO tracks simultaneously, and add a fifth program recording from the final edit. For a single-camera workflow, it records 4Kp60 to Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD/DNxHR. Available features include 2-channel XLR audio via an optional cable, LTC via BNC, two NP‑F/L‑Series batteries, an SSDmini or Master Caddy II/III, and tools such as 3D LUT, false color, waveform, vectorscope, and focus peaking.

FOUR CAMERAS, ONE TOUCH

Four HD-SDI inputs turn the Shogun Classic into a portable quadview switcher and recorder. You can seamlessly switch between live sources on-screen, record up to four 1080p60 ISO tracks, and a fifth program channel simultaneously. Asynchronous switching eliminates the need for expensive locked cameras; the resulting mix can be sent via HDMI or SDI to a stream or another monitor.

BRIGHT HDR REFERENCE PREVIEW

A 3,000-nit IPS panel with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 105% DCI-P3 coverage, and a 3D LUT provides confidence when working with both SDR and HDR. Tools for exposure and sharpness include waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, false color, zebras, focus peaking, pixel zoom, and anamorphic desqueeze. HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI support both pass-through and bidirectional signal conversion.
