The 0.71× optical system concentrates the Canon EF lens image circle onto an APS-C sensor, producing a wider field of view and greater effective brightness.
The lens focal length is multiplied by a factor of 0.71.
The adapter transmits AF, aperture and EXIF between the lens and camera.
A switch selects the focusing mode for a compatible Sony camera.
Four optical elements in four groups perform the image-circle reduction.
