APO clarity without distracting colour fringing
The 13-element, 10-group design uses 2 ED, 3 HR and 1 ultra-precision UA aspherical element to bring red, green and blue wavelengths to the same focal plane. High-contrast edges stay clean and tonal transitions remain natural.
F1.8 for low light and smooth separation
The bright aperture supports faster shutter speeds and lower ISO after dark. Nine aperture blades produce gentle background blur, while the versatile 63° view keeps valuable environmental context in the frame.
Responsive focus and direct controls
A quiet STM lead-screw motor delivers fast, smooth focusing for stills and video. AF/MF, a custom Fn button and a click/de-click aperture control keep key settings close at hand.
Sharpness across the frame
The official manufacturer MTF chart shows contrast and detail transfer from the centre towards the image edges. The APO design and modern glass are engineered for high-resolution full-frame sensors.
