Product description

The VAXIS VFX Φ95 Black Mist bundle contains three 95 mm Black Mist filters in 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 strengths for the Tilta Mirage matte box. They swap or stack quickly, each weighs about 28 g and has its own Alcantara pouch.

Black Mist softens highlights, lowers contrast and diffuses bright points of light, giving digital footage a gentler, filmic character. Three 95 mm filters in 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 strengths slide into the Tilta Mirage matte box, and on set you swap or stack them depending on how strong an effect the scene needs.

Black Mist for Tilta Mirage

Three 95 mm Black Mist filters in 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 strengths, each in its own Alcantara pouch.

Three strengths

1/8 just takes the edge off highlights, 1/4 adds a noticeable glow and 1/2 creates a distinctly dreamy image.

Swap and stack

The 95 mm filters change quickly in the Tilta Mirage matte box and can be stacked for a stronger effect.

A filmic look from digital

A digital sensor renders highlights sharp and contrasty. Black Mist softens them, lowers contrast and adds a gentle glow reminiscent of film stock.

Alcantara pouches

Each filter has its own leather pouch against scratches.

Light filters

Each filter weighs only about 28 g.

For Tilta Mirage

The 95 mm filters are designed for the Tilta Mirage matte box.

Manufacturer warranty

A limited ten-year warranty on each filter.
