The VariZoom VZ-USPro-EX7-R Focus/Zoom Control and Monitor Kit is a complete “soup-to-nuts” camera control solution designed specifically for Sony PMW-EX1 and PMW-EX3 camcorders. This all-in-one system integrates professional zoom and focus control with high-quality external monitoring and a versatile mounting platform, making it ideal for broadcast, documentary, studio, and field production environments.
At the core of the system is the Pro-EX remote zoom controller, a compact and lightweight unit engineered for the EX-series cameras. Its high-sensitivity zoom rocker enables smooth, precise zooms with excellent speed control. Paired with the FCU cable-driven focus controller, operators gain the ability to manually pull focus remotely, improving accuracy and creative control during complex shots.
The kit also includes the TFT7U 7" on-camera viewfinder package, featuring a 16:9 external monitor complete with sun hood, battery kit, AC adapter, protective case, and swivel shoe mount for flexible positioning. Completing the system is the DVRods mounting system, a modular rod-based platform that allows users to attach focus controls, matte boxes, wireless receivers, battery systems, and other accessories. Designed for maximum adaptability, the DVRods system integrates seamlessly with VariZoom support solutions, delivering a powerful and professional camera control setup.
