Ulanzi VL81 Bi-Color LED Video Light 3200–5600 K

The Ulanzi VL81 is a pocket-sized bi-color panel with 80 LEDs that illuminates your face during vlogging, video calls, and product photography. You can smoothly adjust the color temperature from 3200 to 5600 K and the brightness from zero to full power—both using two dials on the back, without a menu. The built-in 3000 mAh battery charges via USB-C, and thanks to three mounting rails on the top and side edges, you can stack the light to create a larger light source or mount a microphone on it.

Foldable Light for Vloggers

There are cold shoes on the top and both side edges. You can mount another VL81 unit on them if one isn’t enough, or a microphone, or a wireless receiver. On the bottom, there’s a 1/4"-20 threaded mount, so you can attach the light directly to a camera, a tripod, or a ball head.

Daylight and Warm Light Without Filters

41 cool LEDs and 40 warm LEDs blend seamlessly from 3200 K to 5600 K. Indoors under tungsten lighting, you can adjust the light to a warmer tone; outdoors, you can match it to daylight—without using conversion filters.

True-to-life colors, CRI 95

The LEDs have a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 95+, so skin tones remain natural and the colors of clothing and products appear accurate without additional editing corrections. The light output reaches 850 lm, illuminance up to 900 lx, and a 120° beam angle provides soft, even illumination.

Two dials, no menu

There are two controls on the back—one for brightness, the other for color temperature. You can adjust the settings on the fly with a single finger, even while holding the camera up to your eye.

3000 mAh battery and USB-C

The built-in 3000 mAh battery lasts about 2.5 hours at medium brightness; about 150 minutes at full power, and up to 480 minutes at the lowest setting. Charging via USB-C takes about three hours—using the same cable as your phone, without a proprietary charger.
