The Ulanzi R098 Magic Arm with Cold Shoe Male Thread is a compact 3.9" mounting arm featuring a pair of ball joints, an upper 1/4"-20 screw, and a lower cold shoe mount. It is designed for precise positioning of small LED lights, microphones, monitors, and other accessories on a camera, cage, or rig.

The R098 is a small, lightweight arm designed for situations where you need to position an accessory precisely off-axis from the camera, but there isn’t enough space for a large articulated mount. It’s ideal for vlogging setups, cages, cold shoe mounts, and compact camera rigs.

A pair of ball joints allows you to quickly adjust the angle of your accessories. The arm can be rotated and tilted so that an LED light, microphone, or small monitor points exactly where you need it.

The top 1/4"-20 screw is suitable for standard photo/video accessories. The bottom cold shoe mount slides into the hot shoe of a camera, cage, or mount; the integrated 1/4"-20 thread expands mounting options.

The aluminum alloy and ABS plastic construction keeps the weight low, yet the arm can support smaller accessories weighing up to 1.5 kg. It is therefore sufficiently sturdy for standard microphones, small LED lights, and compact monitors.
