Tilta Suction Cup (4.5") for Hydra Adjustable Support Post

The Tilta HDA-T16-SC suction cup, 4.5″ across, is the upper anchor for the Hydra Adjustable Support Post: it sticks to the windscreen, sunroof or another smooth surface in the cabin and the post braces against it. Each cup is rated for 50 kg of pull force, and the vacuum is made with a hand plunger on the side of the base. The tilting head takes up a raked pane. Aluminium, stainless steel, plastic and rubber; black.

The Tilta Suction Cup (4.5″) is an optional part for the Hydra Adjustable Support Post — the brace for multi-camera shooting inside a vehicle for car reviews, live streams and reality shows. The post braces its top end against the headliner or glass; with the cup in place of the support foot it also holds on a raked windscreen or a sunroof, where the foot would slide.

An anchor on the glass

The cup replaces the upper support foot of the Hydra Adjustable Support Post. It sticks to the windscreen, sunroof or another smooth, clean surface and the post braces against it from below — a rigid column between floor and glass, with cameras and monitors hung on it. The cup's head tilts, so the post stands upright even when the glass runs at an angle; with the HDA-T16-EB extension bracket the reach moves further still.

50 kg of pull, hand plunger

The body of the cup is aluminium alloy with stainless steel parts, the contact face is rubber. Each cup is rated for 50 kg of pull force — more than a multi-camera rig will ever put on it. A few strokes of the plunger on the side of the base make the vacuum, with no electronics and no battery; the band on the plunger serves as the vacuum indicator. Clean the glass and press the cup down before use; the rig is meant for smooth driving on good roads.
