Tilta PL Mount Lens Adapter Support for Nikon Z8 - Black

The Tilta TA-T55-LAS-B is a PL lens adapter support for the Tilta Full Camera Cage on the Nikon Z8. With two screws it ties the cage to the Nikon Z → PL adapter, so a heavy cine lens no longer rests on the camera mount alone and the adapter cannot rotate. It weighs a mere 17.5 g, so you will not notice it on the rig. Aluminium alloy, black.

The Tilta TA-T55-LAS-B is a part for the Tilta cage on the Nikon Z8: it supports the PL lens adapter so that the weight of cine glass is carried by the cage, not by the camera mount.

Two points of contact: cage and adapter

A Nikon Z → PL adapter with a cine lens is a long, heavy lever resting on the Z8 lens mount alone. The support fixes with one screw to the Tilta Full Camera Cage for the Nikon Z8 and with the other into the lens adapter — a firm two-point connection that transfers the lens weight to the cage and all but rules out the adapter rotating unintentionally. It fits compatible adapters of various brands.

17.5 grams extra

The support is machined from aluminium alloy and weighs only 17.5 g, so it adds practically no weight to the rig. It fixes with the included 2.5 mm hex key and comes in the black of the cage. On its own it does not attach to the camera: it needs the Tilta Full Camera Cage for the Nikon Z8.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
