Tilta Hydra Alien Car Mounting Hard Shell Waterproof Safety Case

The Tilta HDA-T02-WSC is a waterproof hard shell case for the Hydra Alien Car Mounting System. Its insert is shaped to the shock absorbing arm and its parts, so the rig travels safely between locations and is stored in one place between shoots. The closed shell keeps out rain and snow; the case replaces the one supplied with the system and serves other equipment too.

The hard shell case for Hydra Alien is the same case the Hydra Alien Car Mounting System ships in from the factory — here as a separate part. It suits as a replacement for a damaged or lost case, as a second case for a rig split between two cars, or simply as a rugged transport box for other equipment.

Every Hydra Alien part has its place

The inner insert is cut to the shape of the Hydra Alien shock absorbing arm, suction cups, supports and battery plate, so nothing moves inside the case even after hours in a boot or a van. The rig packs quickly, and it is just as quick to see that something is missing — an empty space in the insert shows at a glance.

A shell that stands up to the weather

The hard shell with its latches stays closed even in a fall, and the seal in the lid keeps rain and snow out when loading outdoors. The case is light all the same, so it adds no more weight to the kit than necessary. Finished in black with the HYDRA ALIEN print; the insert can be removed and the case used for other equipment.

The Hydra Alien system

Hydra Alien is Tilta's damped mount for shooting from moving vehicles with a gimbal and camera: a shock absorbing arm with swappable dampers, suction cups, adjustable supports and a battery plate. The rig is configured to the vehicle and the shot, and travels between locations in a case — the very one offered here as a separate part.
