Product description

A single-bay external enclosure for 3.5" and 2.5" hard drives and SSDs with SATA III. It connects via USB 3.0 or eSATA, and the drive is inserted into a removable tray.

The iTANK i310 is a single-bay external enclosure for one hard drive or SSD. It natively supports both 3.5" and 2.5" drives with SATA III, without the need for adapters; 2.5" drives must be 15 mm or less in height.

It offers two connection options. USB 3.0 supports 5 Gb/s and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, while eSATA delivers a full 6 Gb/s—that is, as much as the drive’s interface itself can handle. For video editing and fast backups, eSATA is therefore the faster option.

The drive sits in a removable frame, so it can be swapped out without disassembling the case. The aluminum body also serves as a heat sink.

Power is supplied by a 100–240 V AC adapter, with a maximum power consumption of 24 W. The operating temperature range is 0 to 40 °C.
