The Sony FA-EBA1 External Battery Pack is designed to enhance the performance of compatible Sony flashes, including the HVL-F60RM and HVL-F60M. By supplying external power through a high-capacity AA battery system, it significantly reduces flash recycle times and increases the total number of flashes per shooting session, making it ideal for professional event, wedding, and studio photography.

The pack supports up to eight AA alkaline or NiMH batteries, delivering fast recycle times of approximately 0.6 seconds and up to around 660 flashes per set. It can also operate with four AA batteries when a lighter setup is preferred. When connected, the external pack becomes the primary power source, reducing strain on the flash’s internal batteries and improving overall efficiency.
