The DVF-EL1 offers two selectable magnification modes, allowing users to switch between Standard and Zoom Out viewing according to their shooting style. With up to 0.90x magnification, operators can prioritize either maximum image resolution or a wider field of view for easier framing during handheld, low-angle, or high-angle shooting.

A vertical tilt mechanism adjusts from 0° to approximately 90°, improving viewing flexibility in a variety of shooting positions. The removable eyepiece cup can also be reversed for left- or right-eye operation, while removing it entirely allows users wearing glasses to comfortably position their eye closer to the eyepoint.

For added convenience, the viewfinder includes integrated storage for the camera's VF terminal protective cap, helping prevent loss during setup.
