The SmallRig 5462B wireless remote controls action cameras and phones over Bluetooth. Start recording, take a photo or switch modes from up to 30 metres away, so you can film yourself from a distance or line up a group shot. The battery lasts 40 hours.

The SmallRig 5462B wireless remote controller works with mainstream action cameras and smartphones and lets you shoot from a distance — handy for self-portraits, group photos and any shot where you cannot stand next to the camera. On action cameras it powers the camera on and off, puts it to sleep, starts and stops recording and switches between photo, video and time-lapse modes; the exact behaviour differs between brands. It works with DJI Osmo Action cameras, Insta360 panoramic and Ace models and GoPro cameras. On Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and vivo phones the shutter works just as easily, but the M button does not switch modes on a phone — change those in the app. The range is up to 30 metres in open space, the battery lasts 40 hours and charges over the supplied USB-C cable. The included wrist strap keeps you from dropping the remote while filming.
