The SmallRig RC450D 3971 COB LED studio light with Dharma Shark optics and a 55° hyper-reflector reaches 172,000 lx at 1m at 5600K with CRI 96+. Bowens mount, with manual, app and wireless control.

SmallRig RC450D COB LED Light 3971 is a powerful daylight studio light drawing up to 499.8 W at a colour temperature of 5600 K. Larger and more powerful COB LED chips deliver natural colour rendering and high output — with the reflector fitted it reaches 172,000 lux at 1 m at 5600 K, matching the performance of 1.2 kW HMI fresnel fixtures.

The Dharma Shark optical system and a body of metal and flame-retardant V-0 plastic make the fixture about 20% lighter than previous models.

A special six-layer front glass transmits 97% of the visible spectrum. The power adapter uses GaN semiconductors for 95% efficiency, which means lower heat losses, less weight and a more robust power cable. The spring-loaded yoke improves operating safety and allows smooth tilt adjustment; it is detachable. The integrated fan is quiet, producing only about 32 dB at 1 m.

The light can be controlled manually, wirelessly via the SmallGoGo app or with the optional control panel 3980; wireless control range is up to 100 m on 2.4 GHz. The standard Bowens mount takes softboxes and other accessories. It can be powered from the mains adapter or from a battery.
