SmallRig Half Cage for Sony FX2 5591

The SmallRig 5591 half cage for the Sony FX2 leaves the tilting EVF, buttons and ports clear while adding 1/4"-20 threads, ARRI 3/8"-16 holes, a HawkLock NATO rail and a cold shoe. Its Arca-Swiss base fits tripods and DJI RS gimbals.

An Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the base enables swift transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups (compatible with DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilizers).

The detachable top plate features a NATO rail, accommodating Sony’s XLR top handle or SmallRig’s rotating top handle (ID 4152) without interfering with the EVF. With precision cutouts, this cage ensures that the camera’s tiltable EVF, buttons, and ports remain fully accessible.

Incorporating multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 3/8"-16 ARRI locating holes, and a “HawkLock” NATO rail, it allows for quick attachment of accessories like side handles (ID 4485) and top handles (ID 4483). A cold shoe mount enables the attachment of devices such as the DJI Mic 2 or LED lights, while a QD socket at the base accommodates shoulder straps for enhanced portability.

The bottom quick release plate, paired with the “HawkLock” H38 Arca-Swiss quick release mount plate (ID 4486), facilitates rapid slide-in attachment with an auto-locking mechanism. Additionally, the base is equipped with a magnetic Allen wrench for quick assembly and disassembly.
