SmallRig Cage for Atomos Ninja V 2209

The aluminium SmallRig 2209 cage was co-designed with Atomos and wraps the Ninja V. It adds NATO rails top and bottom, 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and an ARRI locating hole, plus an HDMI cable clamp. Drive locks fit Master Caddy II.

SmallRig Cage for Atomos Ninja V 2209 was designed together with Atomos. It gives the monitor a protective exoskeleton and a wide range of industry-standard mounting points. It attaches to the monitor with a 1/4"-20 screw on the top and two M3 screws on the left side.

Top and bottom, the cage offers multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes plus an ARRI locating mount on the base. NATO rails run along both the top and the bottom, so the cage works with a range of SmallRig mounts — such as a ball head magic arm — for quick release.

The cage includes a single HDMI cable clamp that works with a range of cables and is ideal for AtomFlex 4K 60p cables. If required, the cage supports a second HDMI cable clamp for the HDMI output; it attaches on the left to protect the cable and the port. For backwards compatibility with the Atomos Master Caddy II, the cage also features drive locks that incorporate the size of standard 2.5" drives into its form factor. Raised attachment points on both the top and the bottom are there for neck straps and for the Atomos Ninja series sunhood frame.

Note:
1. The cage is compatible with the original Atomos Ninja series sunhood. The sunhood frame needs to be fitted before the unit goes into the cage; it can remain in place for additional protection, and the folding sunhood can easily be removed.
