The SmallRig 6738 kit brings a 3.5x telephoto lens, a photography phone case and a shooting handle together for everything that happens far away — a concert, a match, a view from a lookout. The lens clicks onto the back of the case through its own quick release lock and pulls the stage or the pitch close enough to read detail from the stands; it comes off just as fast and stows in the supplied pouch. The handle sits in the palm, holds the phone in landscape and carries a physical shutter button and a zoom lever, so shooting is more precise and smoother than tapping the screen. Inside the handle is a battery: it powers the control module and can top the phone up in an emergency, adding roughly an hour of runtime. The wireless remote controller detaches and works on its own as well. Take the lens and the handle off and a lightweight everyday case is what remains. The lens belongs on the phone telephoto camera (4x or 8x) only, never on the main or the ultra-wide camera, and it focuses from eight metres out — closer than that the phone switches to the main camera and the frame vignettes heavily. It works best with an app that can activate or lock the telephoto camera manually, such as Lightroom, Blackmagic Camera or ProCam; in the built-in Camera app turn Macro Control off. Before first use pull the insulating tab out of the remote and enable Full Screen Zoom under Settings → Accessibility → Zoom. The handle comes off the case by pressing the lock button and sliding it out horizontally.
