Legendary MD 421 performance in a compact format

MD 421 KOMPAKT retains the clear, detailed character and remarkable dynamic range of the MD 421 family in a much smaller body. Its cardioid pickup pattern focuses on the source and helps reject sound from the rear.

Built for demanding sources

The large dynamic capsule and internal bass tube reproduce low frequencies with weight and definition while handling exceptionally high sound pressure levels. It is equally at home on drums, guitar cabinets, instruments and vocals.

A secure, redesigned mount

The mounting clip is permanently secured to the microphone, removing the weak point users knew from earlier MD 421 designs. The compact body is easy to position in crowded studio and stage setups.
