The MKS 4 is an elastic suspension that isolates the MK 4 or MK 8 from the stand, keeping floor rumble and handling noise out of the signal. Its ring is open, so the microphone can sit close to the source — just above a snare, or right at a guitar cabinet — without the mount getting in the way.
