Schill HT 582.OPEN Cable Drum, black

Schill HT 582 series steel cable drum in an open design without an end cap, designed for customer-installed connectors. Drum diameter: 580 mm; winding core: 320 mm; winding width: 170 mm.

The HT 582.OPEN drum is the largest in the classic HT series. The OPEN version means it is supplied without a blanking plate and without a built-in connector panel —it is intended that the user install connectors according to their own needs. This explains its primary use: cables with connectors that do not fit into standard cable reels (Powerlock, multi-pin, hybrid cables).

The sheet steel reels are powder-coated black. The large 320 mm diameter winding core prevents the cable from being forced into sharp bends, so it isn’t damaged during winding—which is essential for data and hybrid cables.

The drum features a parking brake that secures the wound cable against accidental unwinding, a kink-resistant cable inlet, and effective strain relief. The steel construction is resistant to chemicals, gasoline, and oil.
