The microphone plugs into the transmitter’s 3.5 mm input and is powered by it. This is exactly how it ships in the Ultra 03 kit with black transmitters.

The same black lavalier microphone is part of the white Ultra 04 kit. For the Ultra 01 and Ultra 02 kits it can be bought separately.
