The powerful VR-400UHD video switcher offers an integrated control panel including a pair of touchscreens for maximum convenience in handling demanding streaming shows. The monitors display video preview, audio mixer functions, blend effects settings, etc. HDMI inputs support up to 4Kp60/FHD video and Rec.2020/Rec.709 formats, and USB-C output in webcam mode streams video up to 4K/30 fps (USB 3.2 Gen 2, 10 Gbps).

The VR-400UHD is a 4K AV mixer for live events and streaming with two side-by-side touchscreens. It combines a switcher with seven 4K HDMI inputs, a 14-channel audio mixer and 4K streaming over USB-C in one compact console that also fits a 19″ rack.

Tactile controls

The right side of the panel holds scene and bank buttons plus controls for transitions, keying and sizing, the left side faders and knobs for the audio inputs, master and headphones.

Compact and portable

The VR-400UHD stows in a carrying bag and fits tight production spaces. In a standard 19″ rack it mounts on a slide-out tray or directly on the rails.

Present and stream in 4K

The VR-400UHD works at 4K/60, accepts HDR and SDR and converts them automatically into the 4K workflow. The USB-C output appears to a computer as a webcam and streams up to 4K/30 over USB 3.2 Gen 2 to popular platforms.

Scenes

A background and two PinP/key layers per scene, 8 banks × 8 scenes, with layout, size and crop edited on live video.

Still images

Up to eight JPEG, BMP or PNG images with transparency are loaded from USB flash media into internal memory.

Automatic switching

Automated video switching and audio mixing follow the action when several presenters take turns.

Remote control

Browser-based software for Mac and Windows over LAN, plus RS-232, LAN and TALLY connectors for installations.

Two touchscreens. In PGM/PST mode you monitor and select up to eight scenes on the right screen while switching and audio sit on the left. Dual mode sends video to both displays for events with several presentation screens.

Powerful connectivity. The loaded rear panel provides the audio and video connections for everyday productions without external mixers, switchers and other gear.

Seven 4K HDMI inputs. Inputs 1–3 are always available and one of the other four is selected as needed, so compositions use up to four sources. Built-in scalers mix 4K/HD, HDR/SDR and Rec.2020/Rec.709 freely.

Easy switching with scenes. Complex compositions are created and recalled with a touch on the screen or the dedicated buttons. Each scene contains a background and two PinP/key layers.

Two touchscreen modes. In PGM/PST mode scenes switch with cuts, dissolves or wipes. Dual mode shows PGM1 on the right and PGM2 on the left and assigns them to the HDMI and USB outputs, ideal for LED walls on both sides of a stage.

One camera, multiple looks. Region of Interest (ROI) crops a wide stage shot, a medium shot of a panel and close-ups of each speaker from a single 4K camera and assigns them to scenes for instant switching.

Flexible HDMI outputs. Two 4K HDMI outputs with downscaling to FHD carry PGM or PST independently. The HDMI HD output sends the PGM/PST touchscreen image at a fixed 720p for operation previews in larger installations.

4K streaming over USB-C. The USB-C output with USB 3.2 Gen 2 streams up to 4K/30 and is recognised as a standard webcam. A logo function embeds custom characters in the stream.

Multi-channel audio inputs. Four balanced XLR/TRS combo inputs with phantom power, two TRS mic inputs and two stereo RCA pairs, plus embedded audio from HDMI and USB.

Powerful sound processing. Every channel has EQ and dynamics, with automatic feedback control, audio sync delay, de-essing and noise suppression on hand.

Education. The VR-400UHD drives large screens in auditoriums and gyms and passes audio embedded in HDMI to the venue’s main mixer. Staff and students learn the touch interface quickly.

Corporate. Ideal for boardrooms and event spaces. Up to six microphones connect without an external mixer, and USB-C streams presentations in 4K to remote viewers.

Houses of worship. Images and lyrics on large screens, a Guide function for screens wider than 16:9 and Dual mode for two independent screens, with simultaneous 4K streaming of the service.
