Roland BOSS FS-7

FS-7 is a compact dual footswitch for remote control of effect pedals or amp channel switching. Two footswitches are arranged in tandem, which saves space on effects pedal boards. Two selectable modes for latch or momentary allow for control of a wide range of equipment.

The BOSS FS-7 is a compact dual footswitch for remote control of effects pedals and amp channel switching. Switches A and B sit in tandem on the footprint of a single pedal, so they take up minimal space on a pedalboard.

Connectors at the rear

Jack A is a 1/4-inch phone jack and jack B is a 1/4-inch TRS jack that carries both switches over a single stereo cable. Next to them is a DC IN jack for a BOSS PSA-series adaptor.

Mode and polarity on the side

The MODE switch selects latch or momentary operation for A and B together, and the POLARITY switch matches the FS-7 to the connected device.

Room on the pedalboard

At just 62 mm wide, the FS-7 fits between your pedals and controls a looper or amp channels without a second footswitch alongside.

Works even without power

Without an adaptor the FS-7 operates as a momentary switch; only the LEDs stay dark. With 9 V power supplied from the pedalboard over the included parallel DC cable, it also offers latch mode and status indication.
